Experience

I have tutored students in English (ESL and grammar), and I have worked with students in school settings as I student taught and substitute taught for seven years. One of my favorite things about both experiences was helping students understand literature and improve their writing. I enjoy working with students to help them meet their goals. Students, colleagues, and friends have described me as a peaceful and encouraging person (good qualities for test prep). I scored a 740/800 on the verbal portion of the SAT and 660/800 on math portion (on the previous version SAT). I have a year of experience in special education, so I'm happy to help with special needs (ADD, ADHD, autism, OCD, etc.). I have worked with people of all ages: elementary through adult.
